So you are seeking an exceptional opportunity with a highly complex challenge?
As our client embarks upon a £40m publicly significant transformation programme they need you to contribute to the development and realisation of the IT strategy
Supporting the drive for change throughout their organisation, we’re looking for an IT Asset Manager to review and overhaul the organisations policies and processes to ensure there is no non-conformance.
Through strong relationship and interpersonal skills, you will work with internal and external teams to develop a full understanding of all assets including software license terms and conditions, along with procuring software licences and subscriptions ensuring adequate numbers and usage.
Through superior organisational and analytical skills you will manage and conduct audits on software vendors, producing reports and data as appropriate. Additional responsibilities will include working with Business IT Teams and business personnel responsible for business licences and management to develop and improve existing SAM processes and rectify variances between deployed and licensed software.
This is not a simple challenge; you will need to be resilient, able to handle complexity and ambiguity, consulting a department at the centre of both change and operations, working with committed professionals and supporting staff.
You’re a natural advisor to senior stakeholders and therefore consulting on a high availability infrastructure and software supporting 6000+ publicly critical users sings to your sense of purpose.
A demonstrable track record as an IT Asset Manager coupled with sound knowledge of software usage and licence management, processes, best practices, policies, technologies and tools is a given, public sector experience is a bonus, not a clincher.
