Most of the time, when you are running your own business as a solo entrepreneur, your health and sanity are usually low on the list of your daily priorities. Whilst focusing on your work and building your business your health is taking a back seat, when really it should be just as important as the day to day tasks, as having good health and wellbeing will help you smash your businesses goals.

Technology is wonderful and can enable you to work anywhere and anytime of day, which is great when you have a business to run, but it also means you may never have a break. Try taking an afternoon off, switch the phone and laptop off, and focus on something you are passionate about, or even read that personal development book you’ve been meaning to read for ages.

As we are all aware Humans are social creatures, so it’s very important to the wellbeing of solo entrepreneurs, to take the time to develop relationships with their peers. No matter how busy your schedule is, book some time in your diary to solely focus on developing quality relationships with friends and family.  

Wellbeing Tip 3: Manage Stress  

Being a solo entrepreneur can be stressful at times especially when you have deadlines coming up and seemingly no time to do everything you need to do. Stress can cause loads of issues for your mental health and wellbeing, so finding healthy ways to manage your stress levels and relieve pressure, can help improve your mood, help you meet those deadlines, and will help you be healthier. Ways you can do this is by exercising regularly, take up a sport, get into art, learn how to garden, anything that will help you relax in a healthy way.  

Wellbeing Tip 4: Don’t Put Work Ahead of Your Health  

9 times out of 10 you either have to choose between meeting a deadline or getting some shut eye. How many times have you chosen the deadline with your health taking the back seat? Working extra hours to get things done, doesn’t seem like much at the time, but if this is happening more times than you’d like, you are putting your health and wellbeing at risk.
